Responsible Gaming

Play should stay fun, affordable and legal where you live. Here are the tools, warning signs and support options every player should know.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Five rules worth keeping

  • Adults only. Casino games and betting are for people aged 18 and over.
  • Check the law. Real-money online gaming is restricted in India by national legislation adopted in 2025 and by state laws. Only play where it is permitted.
  • Budget first. Only use money you can afford to lose – never rent, EMIs, school fees or savings.
  • No chasing. Losses are part of the game. Trying to win them back usually makes them bigger.
  • Not an income. Gambling is paid entertainment, not a way to earn or invest money.

Set limits before you play

Limits work best when you set them while calm, before a session starts. Pin-Up lets you limit deposits and request self-exclusion; the support team can apply other restrictions on request.

ToolWhat it doesWhen to use it
Deposit limitCaps how much you can add per day, week or monthAlways – set it when you open the account
Loss limitA personal stop point for each sessionBefore every session, especially fast games
Session timerA phone alarm or reminder to take a breakCrash games, live betting, long slot sessions
Cooling-offA short break during which you cannot playAfter a bad run or when you feel frustrated
Self-exclusionBlocks access for a longer, fixed periodWhen limits are no longer enough

Protecting children

Never let anyone under 18 use your account or payment details. Use parental controls on shared phones and computers, and log out after every session.

When play stops being fun

Gambling harm tends to build up gradually. These are common signs that it is time to pause:

  • You keep going past the budget or time you set
  • You raise your bets after losing, hoping to win it back
  • You have borrowed, used a credit line or delayed bills to deposit
  • You play in secret or feel guilty afterwards
  • You gamble to escape stress, boredom or worry
  • Sleep, work or family time is suffering

A quick self-check

There is no score here – but a single honest yes is reason enough to slow down.

  1. Have I spent more on gambling this month than I meant to?
  2. Have I gone back another day to win back money I lost?
  3. Has anyone close to me said my gambling worries them?
  4. Have I felt I should cut down but not managed to?

Taking a proper break

Self-exclusion is the strongest tool an operator offers: request it through Pin-Up support and choose a period long enough to make a difference. You can also install blocking apps and ask your bank whether it can stop gambling transactions.

Delete saved passwords and uninstall casino apps during a break – fewer shortcuts mean fewer impulsive sessions.

Where to get help

You do not have to deal with it alone. A trusted friend, family member, doctor or counsellor is a good first step, and Gambling Therapy provides free and confidential help online.
